About Garden Valley

Garden Valley is nestled in Idaho’s beautiful central mountains, and is less than an hour from the capitol city of Boise. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of city traffic and noises, but close enough to enjoy shopping, city-type entertainment, the arts, airport and university. Residents of Garden Valley enjoy the best of the best in terms of clean air, wonderful scenery and plentiful wildlife, plus year-around outdoor sports and activities – be it hiking, bird watching, mountain biking, kayaking, 4-wheeling, rafting, skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, swimming, tennis or golf and much, much more. FACT: Idaho has more whitewater rivers than anywhere else in the U.S.A. and the Garden Valley area has some of the finest in the state, along with several quality rafting companies/guides.

Garden Valley as we are known, actually consists of the sister communities of Garden Valley & Crouch – and together they offer that wonderful small-town, slower-paced atmosphere, yet provide all the necessary services – health care, shopping, dining and entertainment. Our schools are K - 12 with a better teacher/student ratio than normal along with quality education but with more personal attention for the students. NOTE: We’ve recently passed a new school bond, so there is plenty of excitement in the air as the action is currently underway to build a new school.
